It is with the deepest sadness that we must tell you our brother in music, Brian Hilty, has passed on August 2nd, 2021. Brian had contracted several bloodborne diseases from a tick bite, and ultimately succumbed to complications and difficulties around these illnesses. We are devastated and changed forever as musicians and people. 

Acoustic Alibi will never play as a band again under this name. Dan and James are officially retiring the Acoustic Alibi name and all that goes with it in tribute to our fallen friend. 

Acoustic Alibi was Dan Arturi (lead vocal/mandolin/percussion), Brian Hilty (lead gtr/vocal) and James Bruebach (gtr/vocal), Larry Neubauer (Bass), and Chris Rhodes (Drums).

Drawing from years of Chicagoland stage experience, Acoustic Alibi acoustic trio and full band was not your typical “slightly above average” musical act. For 5+ years, Acoustic Alibi trio wowed audiences with their wide variety of song selections and unrivaled musical excellence. From rock to pop to country to your requests, there was always a little something for everyone! With a full rhythm section and electric guitar added to the mix, the full band offering along with the acoustic trio made Acoustic Alibi the perfect choice for any venue or experience.
